PHYSARUM in Your Neighborhood
Although most scientists either find Physarum on field trips or get samples from colleagues or biological supply houses, it is actually quite commonly found in moist temperate climes, such as on the surface of decaying vegetation in a nearby cluster of trees, or even in your backyard. The following are links to some web postings about concerns that may arise when non-scientists find Physarum in their neighborhood. Fear NOT, Physarum poses neither health NOR environmental problems!
